Dr Meshack Kgakololo

FRACGP ; MBBS ; DCH (The University of Sydney) ; BMedSci (The University of Melbourne) ; FPA Cert ; PGDipSurgAnat

Dr Meshack Kgakololo is a specialist in General Practice, with specialist interest and experience in children’s health, men’s health, sexual health, family planning, chronic disease management, skin cancer, and aged care. Dr Kgakololo is also experienced in performing minor surgical procedures.  Dr Kgakololo completed his MBBS in 2007 from The University of Melbourne, and completed his specialist qualification in General Practice as a Fellow of Royal Australian College of General Practitioner in 2017.

Dr Monirul Haque

MBBS; M Fam Med; FRACGP; Honorary FACRRM

Dr Haque is a specialist in General Practice. He has a Masters in Family Medicine and Primary Care from University Cape Town. He has twenty years of experience working in General Practice. He has worked in Asia, Africa and worked in Australia in last 14 years. Now he works in Geelong and he will be also working in Sanctuary Lake Medical Practice. He has a special interest in Mens Health, Skin disease and Skin Cancer, and Child Health. He does treat smoking issues and will run a weight management clinic. He teaches medical students and Drs in General Practice training and he has Medline listed published medical articles. He is a honorary Fellow in the department of General Practice at Melbourne University and a casual Academic at Deakin University.


Dr Stewart Mawdsley


Dr Stewart Mawdsley is a specialist in family medicine/general practice. He was born and raised in Canada’s Northwest Territories. He has a BSc in Biology with a minor in Economics and attended medical school at the University of Alberta, completing his residency in family medicine in 2014. He has worked in both rural and urban Alberta prior to moving to Melbourne in 2016, where he has been working as a Family Physician (General Practitioner).

Dr Mawdsley has interests in weight loss counselling, care of the elderly, chronic disease management, preventative care and mental health. He has special skill on managing LGBT health issues. He also speaks French and Spanish. A former United World College scholarship recipient, Dr Mawdsley is an avid tennis, soccer, volleyball and rugby player and competed in decathlon at university.



Dr AKM Junaid Tanveer


Dr AKM Junaid Tanveer is an experienced general practitioner, with special interests in children’s health, chronic disease management, and fractures.



Dr Rokon Ahmmad


Dr Rokon Uddin Ahmmad is a Specialist in General Practice, with over 10 years of experience in general practice. Before starting General Practice he has worked five years in hospitals in Australia and overseas. He has completed G.P registrar training in Australia. Dr Rokon has a wide range of experience in general practice, with a special interest in General Medicine including Chronic Disease Management, Child Health, Skin disease,  falls and fracture (including the application and/or removal of plaster), Wound management, Child and Adult immunisation. Dr Rokon is able to provide implanon insertion and removal care. Dr Rokon performs minor surgeries including skin lesion removal, and cryotherapy.

He is a keen Table  Tennis  player and organises sports and  games  within the community.  In his spare time he listens to music and watches movies.  He also enjoys travelling  and he has wealth of knowledge in Travel Medicine.

Shahnaz Pervin Haque

Practice Manager and Practice Nurse

Shahnaz has a Bachelor of Nursing Science at Deakin University as well as Masters in Library and information Science from the University of Dhaka. She has spent the past several years working as the nurse in charge at Multicultural Aged Care Geelong. Previously she has worked as a Registered Nurse in numerous different hospitals around Victoria. Her extensive experience has led her to be hard willed worker who produces the best quality work in everything around her. Shahnaz’s interests include, cooking for her loving family and friends, organising various community events and tending to her home garden. She is a passionate leader who is determined to care for everyone. 


Joan Baniaga

Registered Nurse

Joan is a Registered Nurse at Sanctuary Lake Medical Practice, and works alongside our doctors providing immunisations, first aid care, wound management, preventative health advice and more!


Sharmin Hossain


Sharmin works as a receptionist in our Sanctuary Lake Medical team. She has just completed her final year of studies in the Bachelor of Midwifery! Sharmin is passionate about global issues and improving health care access and delivery in the community. 


Maria Santos


Maria is excited to join the Sanctuary Lake Medical receptionist team. She has had numerous years of experience within the medical environment. Additionally she has experience working withing Finance. Maria is a dedicated and caring team member who is always ready to provide the best quality of work.

Ayesha Begum


Ayesha is is an experienced medical receptionist and is looking forward to working with us. She also has  had many years experience working in Childcare. Ayesha has a unique set of skills and we are excited to have her bring them over into our team.  


Angelica Bagang


Angelica is the newest receptionist to join Sanctuary Lake Medical Practice team!
